3.6 Instructions. Installation, operation, and maintenance instructions shall be provided with each dispenser. The instructions shall include repair procedures and a listing of available repair parts.
3.7 Leakage. No evidence of leakage shall be observed on type I, II or III dispensers when tested in accordance with 4.6.3.
3.8 Type I. Type I dispensers shall consist of a rigid body which incorporates en actuating device and a dispensing nozzle capable of dispensing waterless paste or cream hand cleaner from a one-gallon disposable container.
3.8.1 Reservoir. Type I dispensers shall have a circular reservoir with an inside diameter of 5-7/8 inches, plus 1/16 minus 0-inches and a depth of at least 1-1/4 inches, capable of holding a one-gallon container of such diameter.
3.9 Type II. Type II dispensers shall consist of a rigid body which incorporates an actuating device, a dispensing nozzle, and an integral refillable container, capable of dispensing waterless paste or cream hand cleaner.
3.9.1 Refillable soap container. The refillable soap container shall be designed for use with a follower plate or plunger which rests on top of the soap and follows the soap level down as the soap is dispensed. Provisions will be made to prevent air lock in the soap and feed system.
3.9.2 Capacity. The integral refillable container shall have a 40 fluid ounce minimum capacity when tested in accordance with 4.6.2.
3.10 Type III. Type III dispensers shall dispense liquid’ soap by means of a spring action push-in valve or other suitable pump action design. The dispensing mechanism shall be capable of being operated with one hand while dispensing soap. The dispenser shall be self–priming and except for initial use after filling or refilling, shall not require more than one positive action to begin dispensing liquid soap.
3.10.1 Capacity. The liquid soap dispenser shall have a 10 fluidounce minimum capacity when tested in accordance with 4.6.2.
3.11 Type IV. Type IV dispensers shall be equipped with a soap feed mechanism and an agitator designed to break up powdered soap with each positive action of the dispensing mechanism. The discharge opening and dispensing mechanism shall be so arranged that the soap shall not be subjected to wetting during normal use. The dispenser shall be capable of dispensing powdered soap.
3.11 Capacity. The powdered soap dispenser shall have a 20 fluid ounce minimum capacity when tested in accordance with 4.6.2.
