3.1.3 Fastener holes. Dispensers shall be provided with fastener holes or slots at the corners with adequate spacing across the cabinet back, in accordance with the manufacturer’s standard commercial product, to provide for stability after installation.
3.1.4 Mounting hardware. Each cabinet shall be furnished with plated or stainless steel fasteners, sheet metal screws, or mounting hardware normally supplied with the manufacturer’s standard commercial product.
3.1.5 Performance. The dispenser roller mechanism shall accommodate 1000-sheet rolls of toilet tissue conforming to CID A-A-697. The mechanism shall be capable of automatically dropping the stored roll(s) of tissue, without jamming, when the roll being dispensed has 5 percent or less remaining.
3.2 Type II. Type II cabinets shall house two (2) 1000-sheet rolls of toilet tissue mounted horizontally and stacked vertically.
3.3 Type III. Type III cabinets shall have wall flanges located to allow a mounting recess depth not greater than 3 inches (76.0 mm) . The width of the flanges shall be not less than 5/8 inch (15.8 mm). The cabinet shall house two (2) 1000-sheet rolls of toilet tissue mounted horizontally and stacked vertically.
3.4 Type IV. Type IV cabinets shall house three (3) rolls of toilet tissue mounted horizontally and stacked vertically.
3.5 Finish.
3.5.1 Carbon steel. Exterior surfaces shall have a bright chromium plated finish.
3.5.2 Stainless steel.
Stainless steel surfaces shall have a satin finish or a polished mirror finish,
as specified (see 2.1) , in accordance with the manufacturer’s current
commercial practice.
3.5.3 Aluminum. At the manufacturer’s option, exterior surfaces
shall be white dry/powdered or smooth baked on white enamel finish, which shall
be hard and durable.
3.5.4 Exterior surfaces. At the manufacturer’s option, the front panel may be gray plastic with a textured or embossed finish. All other exterior surfaces must be metal.
3.5.5 Interior surfaces. At the manufacturer’s option, interior metallic surfaces shall be chromium plated, bright zinc plated, dry/powdered or baked on white enamel. Unless otherwise specified, interior plastic surfaces shall be as molded.
3.5.6 Marking. Each dispenser shall be clearly and permanently marked with the manufacturer’s name or trademark.
3.6 Workmanship. Dispenser cabinets shall be free of cracks, dents, and sharp corners and edges. All plated or painted surfaces shall be uniformly coated and free of voids, blisters, paint runs, or other defects affecting appearance, function, or serviceability.
