COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
DISPENSER, CUPS, CUP LIDS, AND DRINKING STRAWS
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description.
1. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
1.1 Design and construction. The dispenser shall be a countertop type containing four cylindrical tubes for paper, or plastic, or Styrofoam cups and compartments for cup lids and drinking straws, to be used with beverage drink dispensers. Maximum overall dimensions shall be 14 inches wide, 24 inches deep, and 26 inches high. The dispenser, except for the cup tubes shall be fabricated of stainless steel or polished aluminum. The cup tubes shall be fabricated of 300 series stainless steel. The dispenser shall be equipped with four stainless steel spring-loaded cup tubes suitable for dispensing plastic, paper, or Styrofoam cups. The cup tubes shall be in a near horizontal position running from the front of the dispenser to the back with the opening for loading and removing the cups in the front. Size of cup tubes shall be for cup size specified (4.2). Open compartments, accessible from the front of the dispenser, shall be provided for storage and removal of plastic cup lids and drinking straws. The dispenser shall be mounted on the rubber or plastic feet.
1.2 Codes and standards. The dispenser shall comply with National Sanitation Foundation Standard No. 18 or Criteria C-2.
